I am in love with Sign Language. Ever since I was a little girl I have loved this language. It has led me to my fascination and slight obsession with hands. I have an ever growing collection of hands. I was inspired by the website www.skulladay.com and decided I needed to start my own 365 day project. It took me awhile to get the nerve up to start but I thought the best day to begin would be on my 30th birthday so thanks for joining me on this long and wild journey.

Chenille Hand
Another block for my quilt. I used a technique called chenille where you take fabric cut on the bias (45 degree angle), layer the fabric, sew down the middle and brush the dickens out of it to get it to fray. I had a lot of scraps of bias cut fabric from making my quilt I now have on my bed, so I had to use up some and decided to make a chenille hand.
