Canvas Hand Art

I have followed a blog called "Crap I've Made" for a while now and she comes up with great ideas. She made a canvas art piece with this technique just a few days ago so it inspired me to make one too. I started with a plain canvas and decoupaged pictures of hands over the whole piece. I then made a stencil of the hands, taped them to the top and painted over the whole canvas. By the way, I hand painted it, I thought that would be appropriate. After the paint had dried, I pealed off the hand stencil, sanded over the paint, rubbed colored chalk over randomly and then splattered pink and white paint over the top of everything. This has been so much fun trying new techniques I haven't done before and probably never would have done had I not been doing this. I am also so grateful for talented people that inspire me in new ways.
