It has now been 3 months since I started my project!! Wow, I am 1/4 of the way done! Crazy how time goes by so fast and so slow at the same time!
Today I made a hand candle. I first made a mold from one of my many hand chachkies I have. I then threaded wicks down through the fingers, poured wax into the mold, let it cool and voila- a hand candle. It was hard getting it out of the mold so the thumb did crack a bit, but with the wick, it stayed attached. My sister thinks it is pretty creepy, and ya it is a bit, but I am not doing any Voo Doo with it, it is just fun. Maybe I will make a bunch for Halloween!
